I have seen many people with really active "social lives" not able to produce or do anything that is truly remarkable. It is not uncommon to see business owners or sales people out in the field socializing all the time but never be able to turn anything into business.
I think that relationship building and networking are essential, but with anything in life you need to find balance. Being social doesn't make you a winner, working on your own doesn't mean you won't make big either.
More than likely its a combination of everything you do and more importantly your attitude. Having drive and passion while doing what you believe in are the things that make winners.
