How Does Courage Show Itself in Leadership?

I have been working with leaders for over 25 years...leaders in business, and in the community, professionally and personally. There are few that would argue that 'courage' is not an important leadership attribute. Regardless of political posture, yesterday Barack Obama embodied courage. With eloquence and heart, he addressed a boiling pot, shared himself, his view of the world and his hopes. Few of us are running for office, having our lives exposed. Few of us are traversing dangerous roads. So, what does courage look like and sound like for the average leader at any level?
