In a flashback, Peter reminisces about his talent for giving people bad news. In this clip, he and his barbershop quintet dance their way into a hospital room to inform a patient that he is in fact, irrefutably, dying of AIDS. In this hum-mable refrain, “Be sure that you see / that this is not HIV, /but full blown AIDS!” It’s not hard to see why some AIDS groups were troubled by this ditty.
