It is a sad situation in most of these under-developed nations. Education is not being properly given and in a world where one is so cut off, the internet opens all of the doors of possibility.

True, water, food, and peace would be great things to give now, but those are only band-aid solutions to a greater problem. Education is the only hope for these nations in need.

Frank,

I totally agree with you. I don't know where and how the idea came that you should feel welcome in a place where you give your money to someone who sits above you behind a desk after you have waited in a slaughter-house-style line for 10 or 15 minutes.

There is a reason I do all my banking online...

Nike is an incredible with an equally incredible story. Much of their revenue comes from re-released shoes that retell the story of the greats that have been representatives of the company in sports. Retro Air Jordans, Air Force Ones, Dunks, Air Max, Barkleys, Pennys, the list could continue on and on and on. Why waste time trying to make the new "it" product when you can sell a piece of nostalgia and retell the story that people like hearing.

I have no problem listening to the California Department of Finance speaking about California, but it's another for them to start making national projections. I'll leave that job to the US Census Bureau who projects that 24.4% of the US will be Hispanic in 2050.

http://www.census.gov/population/www/socdemo/hispanic/hispanic.html

Fast Talk Response -

I honestly have no use for this service what so ever and find it to be rather annoying. Some ad network execs put the annoying thing on our site and it was happily removed after a week or two.

I am sure twitter will be one of those *cool* 2.0 apps that no one cares about in a year or two.
