Definitely, why should the taxpayer bare the burden of their mistakes? They were hired to bring success instead they drove the bus into the ditch, why reward them for it?

China is a much bigger player on the world stage than many think, the west better have contingency plans, otherwise competing with them will be much harder in the next 50 years.

I disagree with the 'most valuable' part, youtube doesn't make much money, if any at all, doesn't own the copyright of any of its content and is easier to compete with than traditional TV stations.

tall and loud can be authoritative but not always in a good way, if people see you as knowledgeable, approachable but assertive, i think those are better attributes.

while I denounce the treatement of Tibetans and Chinese citizens, I think the demonstrations have somewhat tarnished the olympic image, the IOC are even discussing the future of the round the world torch relay.

No, only the founder(s) need have that approach, you do need committed people but not because they have nothing better to do, unless your line of business is something routine and requires no creativity.
