Context or no context, White is absolutely correct. Folks who are innovative (creative) tend to not walk the traditional line; they think and behave differently from what is perceived as the norm. Einstein? Picasso? Martha Graham? Bill Gates? Google? Apple?

ANY kind of innovation is effective in my eyes; organizations must be open to all avenues of ideas to gain a competitve edge. Does "effectiveness" matter if the innovation produces results, monetary or otherwise?

OMG, I laughed so hard when I read that comment. Barack symbolizes to Americans all that a Mac represents (coolness, innovation, collaboration), and ditto to the PC likeness to Hillary.

You bring up a great point Ron re where the person is in their personal development as a leader. Organizations far too often mistake management for leadership and they are distinctly different animals. I firmly believe organizations are overmanaged and unled (part of the reason for lack of innovation in America, but that's another topic!). Leaders evolve from a different playground as it were...

Why does work have to be separate from your home life? Doesn't mobility allow users to be more flexible? Perhaps this makes sense, Zen on Happiness:

The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion. He simply pursues his vision of excellence in everything he does, leaving others to determine whether he is at work or play. To him, he is always doing both.

Just some food for thought....

Love my Samsung Blackjack, especially with Mundu Radio (better than XM), Documents to Go and a 2G micro card. The Bluetooth Freedom keyboard is a plus too.
