 <description>&lt;p&gt;Many of the apps you mentioned are really nice for smaller projects. On my team we use a Google spreadsheet to share the enhancement list and track bugs for our app. I think many of these online apps will get better in the next generation when they are developed/moved to RIA platforms like Flash and Silverlight. IMHO the avascript frameworks that most of them are currently utilizing are too constraining (from the programming perspective). I just can&#039;t see javascript providing the capability to duplicate features found in Excel, Word, or even Lotus 123.&lt;/p&gt;

 <description>&lt;p&gt;I think so, but they shouldn&#039;t try to compete directly with Facebook and MySpace. Keep it proffesionally oriented. Stay away from ad-spamming people&#039;s pages. Try to keep it subtle. Most of all, it will take 12 - 18 months for this to play out. Don&#039;t blow all your money up front on crazy marketing schemes!&lt;/p&gt;
