&lt;p&gt;It should be very apparent on the informational level. For example, if Fast Company succeeds as a platform for providing high-level UGC in bulk, the business content vertical would consolidate.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Disintermediating content in this way will hurt online advertising, but will be the fulfillment of the dream of the Internet as an educational medium.&lt;/p&gt;
