I'm interested in seeing how it all worked out with his agency working on PC based products. You have to live what you preach. I have worked on both Mac and PC in the creative realms and am interested, more, on his team's transition. How did they feel? What do they dig? That is more valuable than an I'm a Mac or I'm a PC commercial...get in the trenches.

It's all about the face to face relationship...that's how it has been forever. That's why no matter what you do, and no matter who you are it will always be easier to go to the office and put in some time. Even though it may be less effective. That's how business goes. It's about appeasing the status quo. The larger the company the more important face-time is, because that's what is perceived as important.

Indianapolis airport, strides have been taken to create a great experience

This morning I had the pleasure of being one of the first through the new Indianapolis International Airport. My only regret is that I am adding this to the blogosphere so late in the day from the Pacific Northwest.

Arriving early, in fears that the system might be jammed up with bugs, trying to get flights out on time of baggage handled properly, I was happy with how easy it was to navigate where I was going and get out of town.

Choose good design and work with reputable designers...

I am regularly amazed by how many ads you see on TV and how e-mails I get to start a career in design. First off, I have a degree in design; product design from the University of Notre Dame, so these are obviously mass mailings. Secondly, though, these places are doing associates degrees that educate people in the technology, but don't necessarily round them as professionals in the industry. The influx of these individuals on the market is making it tougher and tougher for young up-and-comers to get their break and enabling salaries to start lower and lower.

Expect a gas "pinch" from Ike?

I'm fairly frustrated with oil companies and have been for a long time. I think that a lot of it comes from the fact that, even with a fuel-mizer of a vehicle, I still feel pain whenever I take it to the pump. Yesterday I received an e-mail with some articles from AGC Smartbrief and they had featured an article from Bloomberg (http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601072&sid=a9L6sUoZB8Qo&refer=energy) where our President told citizens to expect a "pinch" post Ike.

Fast Talk Response -

Yeah...maybe I'm not that bright, but I just don't get it. It was funny and memorable because of Jerry Seinfeld, not because of Microsoft or Vista or anything else. It has to be some sort of building block. I guess we'll all see.

Atlanta, GA...a great recommendation for breakfast

I travel a lot for work. Because of that I find myself in places that are sometimes less-than-desirable for breakfast or whatever meal. I hope to blog more here about places that are on or off the beaten path and deliver a great meal within a per diem.

I'm using Chrome right now and it is great. I didn't like one of the out-of-the-box settings for downloads and I changed it so quickly. It is very intuitive. Check it out. I like th basic usability, which will help get people on-board quickly.

Fast Talk Response -

I don't think the government has the responsibility to bail out these companies, they just understand the ramifications of the failure of large financial institutions. They do have the obligation to protect the public that depends on the institution since the legislation and governmental regulation failed to ensure fair-play and hnoest business practices among financial institutions in the first place.

Comment on Node ant

This was a great article and does bring up some great points. What I still find rather disturbing is that in the United States we rationalize square footage beyond our needs mentally and then want the feel-good of an energy-star appliance to make it all better. The resource costs of maintaining these huge structures is something that is sapping our natural resources and increasing our overall carbon footprints...it's not just the materials, but the operation and upkeep.
