Your Employees are Your Brand

Have you ever sat in the reception area of a company and let yourself absorb the culture of that company? Have you ever watched how the members of the company behave and checked to see whether this behavior is living evidence of the company’s brand? It was a chilly Monday morning and I arrived 15 minutes early for my meeting with the CEO so I decided to use the time to see if what the company said about its brand was brought to life by the way the employees behaved. After all, employees are the custodians of a company's brand.

Fast Talk Response -

There are three reasons why so many great business leaders are found guilty of corruption and these are Ego, Ego and Ego.

Bottom Line? Leader who are found guilty of corruption are individuals whose egos have run amok.
They are self-righteous and arrogant, which goes hand-in-hand with making self-serving decisions that are great for them but not that great for others and the organization.

Fast Talk Response -

I don’t believe in blueprints for anything! But one fundamental aspect of a successful leader is the awareness to recognize when his/her ego is switching others off and negatively affecting their performance; the courage to own this; and the ability to replace his/her ego with authentic spirit – where all of our natural leadership talents lie.

Fast Talk Response -

I think that you can have a short person with a soft, yet strong voice and a great energetic spirit and presence who has way more power than a tall person with a loud voice and little spirit and presence.
It all comes down to sending out the kind of energy that attracts others. This kind of authentic, engaging energy gives the individual power irrespective of the size and loudness of voice – as long as you are

Fast Talk Response -

I believe that social responsibility begins ‘at home’ first. Here I refer to taking responsibility for the impact of the corporate culture on the self-esteem and spirit of employees before taking responsibility for the impact of the organization on customers, suppliers, shareholders, communities and other stakeholders, as well as the environment.
