Comment on Node ant

Brilliant piece on the effects of an intention or a concern (competing concerns) in action rather that the problem-solution morass most people fall into.

A brilliant law professor told me about being a business lawyer when I was a young law student. He said to me "Son, never solve a problem that doesn't make money."

I watch software and hardware gurus spend their lives solving problems that have little to do with fulfilling intentions - more to do with myopic problem solving.

Sub Prime bankruptcies and Banking failure = death to the middle class

The banking and subprime crisis will produce a wave of 5 Million Bankruptcies in the next three years.

We will endure real expansion of costs and real loss in wage values.

This is going to kill the hope of the consumer spending bail outs.

The middle class will be squeezed out of existence. The bottom will continue to suffer.

That is really great. In Zen we have a saying "Fear is the Mind Killer." Clearly, fear circumvents our deeper commitments. What needs addressed is a methodology for effectivly distinguishing "who am I?" Most people relate to themselves as if they ARE their thoughts and feelings. Thus the goal becomes to have good ones and avoid the bad ones. Yet this lacks something intrinsic to the value of humanity (Oprah would not be happy with this statement).
