If using a cell phone to deliver health information can help prevent the spread of HIV and help protect hundreds or thousands of people from dying, then I'm all for it. Project M is a great undertaking and I hope they expand the model across all of Africa. Perhaps people can donate their old unlocked cell phones to help expand the program.

The notsobighouse website is a great resource! I was able to find lots of information on the website about creating my own custom floor plans, along with great input from people on the bulletin boards who had already done the same for their house. Definitely worth checking out.

It seems the story on McDonough really brought up a lot of controversy. I went back and read the original article and it seems that whether you like McDonough or not, green home plans, green architecture, and sustainability issues are becoming an important part of our culture, and people are very sensitive to the issues.

I wonder if there's some kind of exercise you could do to determine just how much of a suck up soemone is. For example, maybe you could ask each person, if you were a dog, what kind of dog would you be? Then you could rate them on a scale of 1-10 based on the type of dog they chose; like a Great Dane would rate a 5, while Cavalier King Charles Spaniel might rate a 10.

I'm sure my wife would have loved this idea. We just had regular seating assignments on fine paper. She did wear a unique dress with a beautiful crystal veil though. If we had it to do all over again, I would do something original to make our wedding stand out in people's minds.

I think outsourcing these tasks is a great idea. I outsource many of my own errands, including my grocery shopping. Last year I had my personal shopper help with christmas presents and she bought holiday gift baskets for a couple teachers I'm close with. It beat having to pick out gifts for them myself and they didn't know I outsourced it. Everyone was happy.

I recieved my masters degree from an online university. But while taking online college classes may be great for some, I've also seen major problems with this type of education delivery system. My friends son took a class with several of his friends and they were essentially able to "share" their answers to homework and even exams. I'm curious about what kinds of strategies are in place to prevent this type of abuse and assure that students are actually learning in the absence of real-life, human supervision.
