When I had the idea, I was thinking more of a minimilist smartphone design, than a PC. I thought the phone should be the size of a fountain pen. To make a phne call, you could use a circular dial on the pen to choose the number to dial. And use messaging, calendar, web apps, it could be placed on the table using the folding tripod legs with a lazer projected keyboard and screen display on the table surface.

Hopefully one day we see such a smart phone :)

Belive it or not I sketched almost exactly the same concept in my old notebook 7 years back! Good to see others better placed than I thinking on the same lines :)

Hmm.. some suggesions

1. Noise reduction tech should be built in the device, so users are not forced to increase the volume to hear the music.
2. Volume level should be displayed in deciblel (dB) not some arbitrary measure. So people are aware how loud the music is set to.
3. If the user plays music at a higher than safe volume for a set period the device should automatically turn it down?

I think its going to be another year before we see cool Nokia smart phones. And thats going to happen once QT is fully integrated in the Symbian platform. See http://qt.nokia.com/developer/technical-preview-qt-for-s60

There was an even simpler solution invented long back and its available almost everywhere, its called tap water! Unless you are in an under developed country I see no reason to buy bottled water, even there one could use UV filters, etc attached to taps.

I would like to see cameras with
1. flexible lenses, similar to those in eyes.
2. dynamic exposure
3. bluetooth/built-in gps for geo-tagging
4. built-in bluetooth to enable sync with mobile phone to upload to web portals (with automatic resizing)
5. DLNA support?
