 <description>&lt;p&gt;Interesting content, but what the article mentions only in passing is the losses inherent in transmitting electricity via induction, which can be substantial (and increase as the distance between source and receiver increase).  Given the current focus on efficiency, I would say that this is a technology whose time has not yet arrived.&lt;/p&gt;
