It might not be what Mr Geller above thinks, but the "crap" these guys do rocks!

I think we who are in the design industry will get to see more of Godspeeds stuff in the near future.

@Katinger - and neither of them have an export to CSV function so you can then suck the data up in SportsTracks (http://www.zonefivesoftware.com/SportTracks/) which I use for my Garmin and other outdoor info (wish it had better tracking for indoor workouts).

And I can't find any mention on the Philips Direct Life Website about the $10/month fee.

The fitbit website says it will make info available via XML and a JSON API. I'm not conversant enough with either to know if they will provide as much usable data to import.

Does fitbit only work with the website? Can you export data in CSV to import into other programs (for example my all time fave SportsTrack http://www.zonefivesoftware.com/SportTracks)?

Can it be used without the web site? Otherwise it's just another way to sell a subscription and my interest ends there.
The last thing I need is another web site to track data. My Garmin Connect, Hackers Diet, etc.

Best all around (donorware) application for tracking fitness.

As interesting as it sounds I'll pass if the only way to get useful data is a subscription.

This is exactly why user id's - and linked e-mail accounts - are different for all these services. And why I don't use OpenId and block Facebook connect. I won't claim they can't link them - but it's much harder for them to do it an automated way.

And - how do they differentiate all the different John Smiths or Bob Parkers? This has the opportunity to mix the wrong credit reports together and lead to all kinds of messes.

As noted - there needs to be legislation governing this.

You confuse contemporary american idiot "patriot" with the actual 1776 Patriot that is the motivation for the team name. So the stars and bars are an anachronism. As well as being barf ugly. The Cleveland Browns are named after a person, not a color.
