 <description>&lt;p&gt;Have you not been paying attention? Linux got it&#039;s butt kicked in the netbook field by none other than Microsoft.  Why? As much as Linux is a great operating system it would appear that consumers demanded a product that they know and understand.  Microsoft&#039;s Windows XP.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I am a Linux user and I also own a netbook.  I have an Asus Eee PC 701.  As a second computer it&#039;s great and it does all that I want and need to do.  The problem is many netbook manufacturers are bowing to consumer pressure and moving away from Linux as the only operating system available.&lt;/p&gt;
