"But Omits the Sparkle"??? I think you're trying to be cool by knocking everything that is cool. This is going to be a great phone and Android has endless possibilities. Let's hope that this is the major phone release for Verizon Wireless (owned in part by Vodafone) this year.

I'm with J.L.. There was no need for the negative headline on this story. It's a flippin' miracle that these companies agreed on anything so let’s rejoice in that. I'm also happy that the end is near for these mall and airport kiosks that survive off of over charging for a cell phone charger because they know you're not going to find someone with the same charger as yours.

Something needs to be done. The Republicans seem to be more worried that someone other then a Republican may come up with the solution. We really can't expect a guy who once said that "economics aren't my strong point" and "I don't use a computer" to be able to grasp what the problems really are and come up with a new way of fixing those problems (as in anything tech related). Instead he'll push for the things that cost him the presidency.

This is getting crazy. Does anybody read more then two or three sentences before they post? Tim who the hell is saying that it would have to be an "equal quality system for free parallel to one they charge money for". It would be slower so therefore business and a good chunk of private users wouldn't use it. as for your " censorship akin to the Chinese "Great Firewall"". Isn't that like complaining about the print media and then asking to see the sports section of my newspaper and then complaining that I didn't hand you the funny pages with it?

When I came across Fastcompany.com I was hoping for a more informed group of readers who might be able to post comments worth reading. Mr. Carl Lewis has shown me that this won’t be the case for now with this web site. Mr. Lewis where in this article or anywhere else for that matter do you see that the government will “provide” and or “pay for” this free WiFi service? If you would do a little reading of this and many other articles you would see that this is going to be provided by those companies that will be providing the pay service to those areas.
