&lt;p&gt;I had a lot of fun with you guys and appreciated the conversation &amp;amp; feedback.  The ONE thing I wish I had conveyed more pointedly is how BRILLIANT our customers are.  They know what they want, what they are passionate about, and they want to share their desires &amp;amp; knowledge.  This is the real power of co-creation: involving your community, customers and creating products that people actually WANT through meaningful engagement.  &lt;/p&gt;

 <description>&lt;p&gt;What if a T-shirt was designed through crowdsourcing and sold better than any other?  Threadless is particularly relevant since you are talking about the crowdsourcing of design - and they enjoy awesome success. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;While companies like Threadless and Innocentive are evidence to the benefits of crowdsourcing (or co-creation) done right, the argument against the efficacy of crowdsourcing done right holds little merit.  &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;But doing it right in a way that is nurturing for community, customers and company is a delicate balance - and one that Local Motors continues to learn every day.&lt;/p&gt;

 <description>&lt;p&gt;Awesome!!  Kudos for Jonathan, Neil, Uli, and LA.  I&#039;ve been following Goodwin for a while, and his ability to design engineer out of the box is extraordinary.  I am excited to read about true innovators in the auto industry with strong go-forward plans.  &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I like the web 2.0 website - the 4th that I know of now in the auto sector!  OScar was first (though production/sales may not be planned, not sure), then Local Motors, and recently Splitwheel.  &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;What better way to serve our customers than to ASK them what they want, and then give it to them?  &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Welcome to the fold!&lt;/p&gt;
