 <description>&lt;p&gt;By their very definition, they are still emergent nations. Culturally and particularly economically, they pale in comparison to the stages of growth and progress the US now occupies. They have a role to play, but the odds are it won&#039;t be a leadership role.&lt;/p&gt;
