Allyson, great article, and we agree with the points of Lisa, doing that ourselves too! Our business magazine for female internet heroes, http://www.thenextwomen.com, was born from the idea of making women in startups, tech, social media more visible, notable and quotable. The Next Women is the first Women’s Internet Business Magazine, with a focus on startups and growing businesses, led, founded or invested in by women.

We are very happy that you highlight women in tech/internet, as there are many women who are true rolemodels for a new generation, who sometimes get less press than they deserve. In our magazine, thenextwomen.com, we have been trying to do this since the summer of 2008. Next thing will be more women getting funded. Good to see Yvette Allberdingk Thijm on the list, she was my route into New York in the nineties; a great Dutch role model.
