Gas prices haven't fallen because the oil companies felt like it. They are falling because YOU AND I are sick and tired of getting screwed and cut back on driving. WE DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE!! I plan my trips much more carefully, and spend more time closer to home when I do go out for recreation. Same goes for heating oil. If we lower our thermostats, burn alternate fuels like coal and wood (I heat my house with wood from my own property, which is a lot of work for me BUT my total cost for oil last year was $0.00) we can make a difference in the market. Let's face it.

We can't make fun of him because he is black. Period. Anything you say that is remotely humorous WILL BE contrued as racial by someone, somewhere, sooner or later.

Just hang on to your wallets. The lefties are drooling over getting the keys to the Treasury already. You won't have much to laugh at after that happens.

Socialism has never worked anywhere it has been tried. Case in point, China. The Chinese government is now propping up the capitalist system that has made them rich because of the recent economic downturn. Why, if socialism is so successful, did the Soviet Union collapse? Because it could not compete with a free enterprise, capitalistic system. Europe is and has been sinking under the financial weight of its own socialist system now for years, and it is economies like ours that keep them running.

I can't believe what I am reading... Obama a uniter?? When has he gone against his own party for the sake of unity in his 143 days as a U.S. senator? What flavor of Kool-Aid are you guys drinking? Make no mistake - I am no big fan of either candidate, but if Obama was anything other than the DNC nominee, he couldn't even get a security clearance for a low-level government job. What has he done, or for that matter, run to qualify him to head up the largest "business" that is our government besides preached at us with platitudes to make us feel good?

With all due respect to Mr. Cramer, while I am not thrilled with either candidate, at least McCain is not a socialist. Obama will raid the treasury, or what is left of it, for his $800,000,000 in social givaways "spreading the wealth around." If that is what you want, then vote for him. Just don't complain when your taxes go through the roof, that is if you still have a job. George Bush was a disappoinment on spending, but he is not running for president. Hopefully, if McCain gets the nod, he will do what he claims he will, cut the budget, line by line.

John McCains' health has been made an issue to disuade voters, plain and simple. Obama has yet to release ANY records, while McCain has released thousands of pages, and has recently been given a clean bill of health. That's politics.

Obama gets his style right out of a pulpit. His cadence and delivery remind me of Sunday sermons, but his prose doesn't mean he is presidential. He has NO experience running anything, and has only served in the senate for 143 days. If he were you or me, he couldn't even get a low-level security clearance, much less become Commander-In- Chief. If he gets elected, just get ready to pay higher taxes everywhere, and watch the markets tumble. I am not looking forward to watching my free country become a socialist nation.

I don't know about you, but I NEVER got a job from a poor person. You can carp about "the rich" all you want, but if you have the good fortune to get there some day, I wonder if your opinions on tax policy would still prevail. Taxing the hell out of people who have made something of and for themselves is not the answer to our problems. Helping ALL of us to attain prosperity is the only sure way to solve our problems, and that means WORK. Not everyone wants to do that and would rather have the government dole out the cash.
