Nokia's VP for Legal and IP, Ilkka Rahnasto, alleged that Apple was getting "a free ride on the back of Nokia's innovation."

@Greg Your comment made me think of a topic that I'd like to see explored on The (Home) Office: coffee shop etiquette. How often do I have to order food to continue freeloading off the WiFi? What are the best foods to eat while working? Is it inappropriate to talk out loud to myself while writing in public? Do I have to change out of my pajamas if the coffee shop is on the same block as my apartment?

I fear that the dislike button will become just like the Digg bury button, which was designed to be used as a way to report or flag content but instead became a way for people to vote down stories they didn't like for no obvious reason.

@anoop, certainly there are many parts of the world where this will not be feasible due to the lack of freshwater. I wonder what they definition of freshwater is here. Could it use grey water, or waste water as opposed to potable?

@Nikko you raise some great questions. The efficacy of research conducted just in the U.S. is often suspicious, so I'm especially keen to learn about how this research was done. I can see much being lost in translation and/or methodology. Still, the outcomes feel intuitively correct, and Newsweek is no stranger to polling methods.

Wal-Mart has made a huge commitment to sustainability. Here's an article you should read: http://www.fastcompany.com/magazine/118/working-with-the-enemy.html

Even Patagonia founder Yvon Chouinard admitted as much when he visited Fast Company this past June: http://www.fastcompany.com/blog/tom-foster/fosters-blog/can-wal-mart-be-...
