Comment on Node ant

Having known you personally for a while now I would have to say that you have 'developed a bit of a reputation' as a ranter, raiser of issues and general nit-picker wherever you go. I hate to simply cave in and agree with you but you're on target. Threaded bulletin boards have been around for years and are essential for any serious online discussion forum (not just tech - get it FC?). I'm sort of with you on navigation as I see the real problem being the use of arcane, esoteric, unnecessary jargon (has FC not heard of mouse-overs and site maps?).

Dangerous Times for Big Iron

The joke about owners of sports utility vehicles being in constant readiness to invade Poland became all the more poignant last week, with reports that Russia had deployed ‘peacekeeping forces’ to Georgia. With the distant echo of Russian T90 tanks reverberating from the TV news report, I watched the familiar ritual of my neighbors, the 'Guzzlers’, as they loaded their own immense vehicle with a drinks cooler and two small children. Their destination was not the strategic Georgian port of Poti on the Black Sea but Jones Beach on the south shore of Long Island.
