Oh B.S. I've not heard anything but hype surrounding this. Where are the numbers? How many people will be out of work? What would it cost to retrain those people, heck I bet it'd cost less to pay every GM employee their salary for 2 years than it would to bail out GM who is just going to screw itself again. What? How can I back that up? Well I can't but nobody at the Fed or at GM, or in any news source has said anything of more substance. I heard some senator during the hearing say that if GM went under 3 million people would be out of work. huh? that's the population of the US. It's all BS.

Can't see this killing the Tech Sector like the bubble burst did. Ya gotta remember back then you had people making 100K a year just because they could spell HTML. The tech sector back then was mostly hype and speculation, that's true today only for a few companies. Two factors will save the tech sector this time around. 1) it's actually integrated into our daily lives for real we rely on high tech fore our real daily live now, 2) it'll be the way out of this crisis.

Not likely. The problems with the U.S. economy took 28 years to create. Obama isn't going to fix them in 4. Most of Obama's economic plans seem to be long term. Ya know, gettin' our childs to stop thinking "gettin' our childs" is english, and so on. It's going to take time to fix the problems that our inverted socialism, aka Reaganomics or trickle down, have caused. That is, if Obama lives long enough to even try. I've little doubt that pulling the contracts of companies like Blackwater and Haliburton will get him killed.

Well really it's Milton Friedman's fault. Err umm well ultimately it's just the fault of society which allowed itself to believe that unbridled capitalism isn't the same thing as 2 year old run wild and unsupervised through your home. Sure he's happy as a pig in 5h1t for a few minutes until he sticks his finger in a light socket.

Sadly the problem is even deeper. The problem is that we have made economics the single most important part of our lives.

Hmmm sounds ok to me. I mean heck, 1 year of Republican welfare ( hand outs to big business ) costs more than the entire history of welfare to poor people in this country. Plus lets face it, congress will push back on almost everything Obama proposes. What's important is the rhetoric, we've been to long talking about trickle down economics and corporate incentives, things need to swing back the other way a bit.

While I agree that the current financial crisis is the result of people seeking short term profits--also known as wanting money for nothing. The adoption of Christian values isn't going to help. I mean let's be serious here, weren't the vast majority of the people to blame for this financial crisis ( whether you blame wall street, main street, the feds or all the above ) part of that 90% Christian majority in this country. Was it not it not their values that got us here. In other word Christian Values are the values that are exhibited by most Christians, no?

These ads are exactly what is wrong with Microsoft. They can't come up with anything original. They need to stop stealing, copying, and rebutting and try innovating. People aren't switching to Mac's because of Apples killer ad campaign. The ad campaign only let's people know there is an alternative and keeps that top of mind. People are switching because Windows is an absolute mess. The CP+K ads really just show that CP+K is a second rate advertising company and can't do much but try and rip off Chiat Day's "Crazy Ones" campaign from 10 years ago.

We don't need to set up a commission to get the the bottom of and we don't need to bail them out. We need to start start giving corporations the responsibilities that go along with the rights they sued for under the 14th Ammendment. AIG should not be bailed out. It's corporate charter should be revoked and it's assets auctioned off off to pay it's debtors. If corporations expect the privileges of real people they should accept the responsibilities as well. This upside down socialism crap has to stop.

Not even close. I put my iPod in my car and listen to it for a week without the battery draining. If I listen to my iPhone for an hour it's dead. Also use the iPod's 160 GB drive to transport files.
