Part of me says the contracts should be honored, but I can't find it in myself to approve of it. So I say the exit packages should be rescinded. These CEO's have obviously done a terrible job and they do not deserve these exorbitant compensation packages.

I would go one step further and suggest that the federal government get out of the mortgage business completely.

I don't think so. I'm a man, I travel a lot, and I prefer the smaller iPod because it is easier to handle when you are getting in and out of planes, trains, and automobiles.

I am pretty much in agreement with everyone here except for the last poster. I am not in favor of reverting back to the 19th century standards of living and I would wager that most Americans are not in favor of it either. Don't be fooled by enviornmentalist, socialists, and others that oppose taking advantage of all of our domestic energy sources. They simply want to control your lives through oppressive regulations and taxation.

I love Seinfeld and think the ad is pretty funny. However, it is not going to make me go out and buy a crappy windows box or a Zune. I want one of those churros though...

I do not ascribe to most tenants of the environmentalist movement. Especially global warming or climate change. However, I am all for cleaner, safer products that have less impact on people, wildlife, and the planet. I believe most people in the U.S. and around the world share this opinion. Everyone wants clean water and air. Even CEO's of mega-corporations apparently...

I am tied to my blackberry because of my job. So I will always buy iPods every other year for as long as they are available and stay away from the iPhone. I know there are many others in this position.

How can Apple best approach these consumers? If they can answer that question, then they "save" the iPod. Though I do not believe it needs saving at this point.

Producing quality albums with more than one hit single on them would be my first suggestion. Stop signing crap bands and over producing decent ones would be my second. The labels are at fault here. Don't blame iTunes.
