I actually think "green fashion" awaiting a backlash very soon. This is akin to biofuels once embraced by environmentalists and green-wannabes alike and touted as good for the people. Now biofuels are bearing the brunt of the anger felt by many who feel that they're making the already-bad global foos crisis even worse. Million of people are starving and food which can feed them is instead being used to make fuel (which really hasn't proven to be THAT cost-effective and environmentally friendly). Same goes for green-fashion.

Undercapitalisation really defies logic unless it's self-imposed undercapitalisation "to prove a point". In today's world where innovation and entrepreneurship are very much encouraged, there are many avenues entrepreneurs can turn to in order to secure much needed financing.

Fast Talk Response -

This is a really interesting topic that brought back bad memories of the Dasani scandal. If ya'll remember, back in 2004, Coca Cola's brand of "pure" water, Dasani, was revealed to be merely tap water. Coca Cola apparently charged a ghastly markup for mere tap water because it underwent some so-called "highly sophisticated purification process", which was later exposed to be merely reverse osmosis which is employed by my humble water purification unit sitting out on my home water tap.

Fast Talk Response -

Yeah I agree with Karen that there will always be vocal dissenters. I'm a self-confessed Facebook addict and I myself really don't like the clutter especially when several of my friend have unwittingly dumped huge masses of weird applications (which I term rubbish) on their pages. However, we've come to accept these and work around them. Quickly minimise all the useless applications on their profile pages or if they're really so many that crash my really slow computer I just don't visit their pages anymore and give them a talking to in real life.

Hi Mark, I agree that people need to accept at a certain point in time to call it quits and cut their losses (esp. given a trading analogy :-)) but I've got 2 points on that -
1) I'm not sure whether we can all but call it over for Hillary (ok mathematically she can't win the delegate count but theoretically she can prevent Obama from winning the delegate count too which will shift power to superdelegates among which she still stands a chance, although that too appears to be fading with the increasing number of 'shifters'.)

Jay, I'ld say it got a chuckle or two out of me. ;-)

When people have more time to waste, they're not going to make the world a better place unless they consciously make an effort to do so. It cannot be guaranteed that people, on their day off, will not drive out to do more shopping, will not eat in plastic cups at fast food joints or carry more plastic shopping bags. Unless there is a worldwide movement to engage people to go totally green on their day off, much logic is indeed defied.

Pardon me saying so, but this whole analogy is fundamentally flawed. To begin with, BATNA, as developed by Fisher and Ury was evolved under negotiation theory. It's the course of action taken by a party when a negotiation fails and an agreement can't be reached. The thing is that, the Presidential campaign is not a negotiation. It's a competition where the best man/woman wins. It can be argued that the Convention is a negotiation but the campaign itself ain't a negotiation. Candidates should enter to win, nothing less.

A lady has to tread this path carefully. She will have to come to terms with the repurcussions of her seemingly harmless action of showing some er, flesh. It could be more damaging to her than she thinks cos' it'll affect the way people perceive her and the credit she gets for any kind of professional manoeuvre. It'll be best if she can get ahead without showing too much, get the due respect she deserves in the workplace and leave the baring to the bedroom.

Exhorbitantly expensive, outdated transport system and overrated football team but truly London is Great. The best aspects of working in London is that it's home to amazing diversity of people (which naturally gets the creative juices flowing) and increasingly importantly, it's the gateway to the rest of Europe, particularly eastern Europe and oh-so-big Russia. Russia looks set to be the new economic darling of the world after India and China have been basking in the limelight so London is in a pole position for anyone to take advantage of the rise.
