I find that networking with other individuals with common interests and different background is a way to increase our knowledge and capabilities. I have found that networking groups offer a means to develop contacts that may not otherwise have taken place. I belong to a networking group where I found people of similar interest and causes. Without networking of any kind we would not be who we are or who we will become. It is not just about being proactive but being open to new ideas and experiences which shape who we are.

Airline companies are in a bad place along with everyone else with the cost of fuel. Many companies will have higher costs associated with doing business. We have become comfortable with the many choices we have had with the number of available flights. While airlines must make a profit like any other business the actions taken to charge new fees to their customers will cause customer satisfaction to take a nosedive. Changes can always be made to reduce cost without impacting customer satisfaction.

Fast Talk Response -

I do not feel there is a blueprint to being a successful leader. It does however depend upon what is meant by the term successful. A successful leader is one who sets an example for others to follow. Those that conduct themselves with integrity of character in everything they do are examples for others to follow. The true successful leader is one who leads by example. It is providing an example for others to do their best in everything they do.

Fast Talk Response -

Business leaders who are corrupt are not great leaders. Today there is so much pressure from stockholders or customers to earn a profit that business leaders feel they must do what is necessary to achieve it. Customers must insist on integrity in all business dealings and communicate that to a company. If this is done business leaders would not find it in their best interest to be corrupt in their business dealings. A company who displays integrity in their business dealings are more profitable than those who are not.

I believe it takes a certain personality to be a leader. Leaders must be able to sometimes make hard decisions or to take an innovative approach which may not be accepted by everyone around them. They must make the right decisions for themselves, their family and their place of work. If they are a strong leader others will follow by their example. Leaders are an inspiration to others though they may never know how much they influence the lives of others. Being a leader also involves the characteristics of integrity in their decisions.
