Comment on Node ant

The most important line of information this group should be following is the dollars being spent on ecommerce, currently going through double digit growth. The more Best Buy, Nike, MSFT even Dominos sees revenue increase via digital, the more their marketing team will push budgets. With more revenue tied to this medium creativity, placement, and engagement will improve. If anyone saw Jason Kilar (Hulu's) speech at Ad:tech he argues online, today, is getting a larger piece of the pie then they should based on consumer usage.

Why we like this: Because of all the things that are emblematic of the halcyon days of the 1983-2007 economic expansion—McMansions, Hummers, the universal right to a $400 Nylon Handbag—we may look back on bottled water as the most ridiculous craze to overtake our nation
read more

I would agree that a default mentality exists - but the intention is to reward those who value both education and service, without the burden of debt. Lets hope our education system does justice in instilling a drive in our children to pursue excellence, be it charity work or work within a corporation. But lets also hope for a system in which the need for quick monetary returns doesn't outpace passion, education, and altruism.

If the treasury is going to bail out GM and the Big 3, then conditions need to be met, billions can't be handed over without major initiatives coming out of Detroit. This isn't the first time the industry is going to DC for assistance, and wont be the last without a new strategy, creating a more competitive offering not just increasing cup holders, revamping the whole product is in order - american built though catchy in a super bowl ad isn't a sustainable business plan. Paulson should grant money based on a vision each company sets forth and sticks too.
