Where one chooses to live (or perhaps finds them self living) must impact this. I found that moving from the big city suburbs to a smaller, slower paced (I would say more "sane") locale allowed me to more easily eliminate waste in movement. Replacing the car with the bicycle as much as I can in my everyday life has furthered my elimination of wasted thought, time, movement, and stress. Although I'm sure I could use more training along the lines of moving slowly. Will you go back for more?

Well you know, I agree that being nice to customers is super important but in a fast food joint (in the USA anyway) all bets are off. I wouldn't give a second thought to people behind the counter at the burrito shop being a little rude. It's almost as though they are supposed to be rude. Otherwise you might mistake them from someone who cares. That works in Mexico where people are happy to have a job - but not here in the US.

Interesting observations (as usual). The curious thing that I have noticed in my small city is that banks that I have never heard of are popping up on every empty intersection. Our population hasn't grown that much nor has the amount of money everyone has to stash away in the banks so why are they building them all? I smelly something fishy going on. Maybe these mega banks don't really want walk-in business. Maybe they are only there so they can issue credit cards. (?)
