I partially agree with Mr.Sarkozy’s viewpoint. But the problem here is not the market in itself.

The main problem of this financial crisis and forthcoming total collapse is that the worst criminals and terrorists on the face of this planet are the Federal Reserve and the big Wall St. bankers – JP Morgan Chase, Citicorp, Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, Lehman Brothers.

The Federal Reserve is not a government institution, it is a private corporation, incorporated in Delaware and it is illegal according to the US Constitution.

iPhone: great product, bad marketing.

The iPhone is an outstanding product, 5 years ahead in user interface and technology.

In March 2003 the Apple share value was $7, in July 2008 it is $180. In the last 5 years the Apple share value increased a spectacular 2500%

but Apple did a lot of mistakes in marketing the iPhone:

Marketing mistake #1 - reducing the iPhone retail price from $599 to $399 - a 33% rebate - after only 3 months from the product launch.
This way Apple betrayed the iPhone early adopters - and their most faithful costumers.

Einstein was German, Werner Von Braun was German, Fermi was Italian, Federico Faggin is Italian. Without brilliant minds from abroad the US would not have gone to the Moon, would not have had the nuclear technology, nor the atomic bomb, would not have had the computer chip.

I totally agree.
However it is a rather naive assessment.
Privacy does not exist. Just you need to check the Echelon system of the National Security Agency.

The NSA with Echelon - which is illegal according to the US Constitution - has the technology and the ability of eavesdropping your emails, you phone calls, your faxes, and every communication through every means - except pigeons.

Through your mobile phone and your credit cards payments the NSA knows where you are and where you have been in every minute of your life.

Fast Talk Response -

I think Nokia and Blackberry have no hope. The iPhone is a killer. But Apple is lately doing too many marketing mistakes and stabbing its most faithful customers in their back - ie: the iPhone first adopters who spent $600 for a product that only 12 months after sells for $200. The mandatory 24 months contract with AT&T was another huge mistake made for greed on the side of Apple. Neglecting the rich European markets has been another bad mistake. see:

Mr. Ratzinger - and Mr. Woytila before him and the all the other heads of the vatican in the 1600 years before - are just politicians, they have nothing to do with any god whatsoever - prove me wrong - so it is fairly obvious that they interfere and poke their old nose in whichever political issue in any country in the world they want. To pretend they would do the opposite would be naive, to say the least. The vatican is just about power and greed and mind control of naive people.

Yes, it can. Look at Ferrari, look at Lamborghini. Not a penny spent on advertising, never. Yet, their astounding success is under everybody's eyes.

I guess the sentence is related to the great article by Peter Elkind on Fortune "The trouble with Steve Jobs". Is that correct? Great article, but I don't change my opinion on Steve Jobs. He is the Leonardo da Vinci of our times (well, almost. Still waiting for his Monna Lisa ...)
