I think the new format for LinkedIn makes it much easier to use. For me it's been a great tool for finding fomer colleagues I've lost track of over the years. My new favorite though is Naymz. I like their "Rep Score" feature that gives you more confidence in the information posted in profiles. What other sites do others find useful?

What are the opportunities out there in the Indianapolis community? How can we build and support the types of industries that will sustain our economy well into the future? What do we have that will give us a competitive advanatage over other communities?

Supporting and Promoting Women in Technical Fields

I've been involved for almost 10 years now with a local organization in Indianapolis focused on "attracting, retaining, developing, and promoting" women in technical fields - science, engineering, IT, etc. We've found great advantages in building our own support network. However, I'd like to expand upon this local effort and open up the discussion to hear from other women and men. To realize change, will take everyone working together.

What's Going On With the Indy Group?

I was really pleased to see that there was an Indianapolis Company of Friends and that there seemed to be quite a few members even. However, there doesn't seem to be much activity going on with the group.

I signed up because I'd like to meet other local professionals to find out what's going on in the Indianapolis community. What do others want to do with this group? Why did you sign up? How can we get the conversation started?
