 <description>&lt;p&gt;I took a different meaning from the statement. To me it is in the context of &quot;friends&quot; one has made via chat rooms etc. and that likely have never seen each other face to face. Never having had the opportunity of a friendship that develops from interacting in the same room would seem to at least limit the complexity and rapport that could occur.&lt;/p&gt;

 <description>&lt;p&gt;Well said. I especially agree that &quot;our dependency on technology has dulled our senses.&quot; Whenever my eight year-old has been on the video games for a while we have him play &quot;imagination time&quot; where he pretends to slay dragons and do all those &quot;boy&quot; things I used to do 35 years ago when I was his age and there was little technology. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Also maybe you&#039;ve coined a new term &quot;sensory intelligence,&quot; a la &quot;Emotional Intelligence.&quot; So many seem to only be &quot;existing.&quot;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Forgive me for not making myself clear.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;By &quot;system&#039;s perspective&quot; I am speaking of &quot;family systems&quot; whereby one does looks at things from a variety of perspectives without judgement and is concerned with &quot;what&quot; is happening, as well as what is &quot;not&quot; happening rather than &quot;why&quot; is it happening. There is substantial literature suggesting that this perspective is amenable to the process of coaching. The notion of &quot;seeing the forest and the trees&quot; might sum it up. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;In my humble estimation the most effective leaders tend to be highly skilled in divergent thinking or using something in a manner other than what it was intended. I am in the process of convincing one last senior partner in the consulting firm where I have done my internship that I would be a valuable asset as a permanent part of the team. He struggles with the paradigm shift that a person with 12 years experience as a psychotherapist operating from a system&#039;s perspective could transition and be an effective coach and trainer. I believe paraphrasing your story will help my case.&lt;/p&gt;
