An internationally recognized leader in the field of design and innovation, Mr. Jones is responsible for the global leadership of design strategies across Masco's business units.
Prior to joining Masco, Mr. Jones was vice president of Global Consumer Design and User Experience at Whirlpool Corporation. At Whirlpool he led a global cross functional staff and has been credited for turning Whirlpool into a global design leader.
Mr. Jones joined Whirlpool Corporation in 1996 from Xerox Corporation where he led the global industrial design and human interface department with locations in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia. Also during his tenure at Xerox, Mr. Jones held assignments in the Xerox Business Strategy Office, Xerox PARC and Fuji Xerox.
During his career, Mr. Jones has received over 30 international awards for product design excellence and has been awarded more than 20 patents.
Mr. Jones attended Purdue University and graduated Magna cum Laude with degrees in Industrial Design and Human Factors Engineering and was recognized as Alumnus of the Year by Purdue in 2008. Also, Mr. Jones serves on the Dean's Advisory Council at Purdue University and is a member of the College for Creative Studies Graduate Design Advisory Board.
He is an active member of the Industrial Designers Society of America, the Design Management Institute, the Corporate Design Foundation and the Interaction Design Society.
