30 Second MBA

TRANSCRIPT

"I renew my spirit by trying to get purely in the moment. It's a strategy I call 'Focus to Forget.' There's so much anxiety about what's going to happen in the future, in business, next week and next month. It's really refreshing to get right in the moment and enjoy exactly what you are doing: prayer, spending time with my family, playing music, surfing, those are ways that I can enjoy exactly what I'm doing at that moment and look back at my life and really realize how thankful I am." -- Tom Adamski

Question

Renewal

Tom Adamski has been with LEVEL, a Rosetta company, since 1999 and has served
as the agency's President | CEO since 2002. He is a trained designer, entrepreneur
and digital innovator who built LEVEL into one of the most successful digital
marketing agencies in the U.S. Now positioned as the Consumer Technology and
Entertainment vertical practice at Rosetta, LEVEL delivers integrated marketing
and product development for global brands and category leaders including Cisco,
RIM, NetApp, VIZIO, NAMCO BANDAI Games, HP and Qualcomm. Tom's unique
perspective regarding the interplay of branded content, technology platforms and
connected devices is a key differentiator for Rosetta in how the agency creates the
total user experience between brands and consumers across touch points and over
time.

Tom’s executive leadership style uniquely applies structured design methodology
to the unstructured challenges of business. He built LEVEL with strong identity and
purpose, balancing branding and development innovation with sound business
savvy, which guided the company to debt-free profitability in 2004. Since that
time, LEVEL has achieved a CAGR of over 45% under Tom’s leadership, which he
attributes to strategies built around business innovation, market performance and
social relevance for clients. The result of these efforts culminated in the acquisition
of LEVEL by Rosetta in September 2010, which has allowed Tom to focus on
building enhanced connected devices capabilities as well as renewing the brand,
marketing and business development efforts agency-wide.

Tom currently serves on multiple Advisory Boards for organizations in the
consulting, advertising, education and retail segments. Before LEVEL, he spent
nearly four years in marketing and product development at Xing Technology
Corporation, which was acquired by RealNetworks in 1999. Tom has been
passionate about creativity and brand since his days at UC Davis where he received
his B.S. in Environmental Design. He successfully balances his career with regular
doses of faith, family, surfing and strumming a vintage guitar or two.
