Taipei has strived to achieve "zero landfill, total recycling" by 2010, 30 years ahead of the UN's trash targets. It will probably fall short, but its policies are still exemplary. The city has encouraged the private sector to build composting facilities and recycling plants, and requires residents to pay for trash collection by the bag. Garbage trucks playing Beethoven's "Für Elise" and Badarzewska's "The Maiden's Prayer" collect trash, which must be in city-approved bags, from residents, who toss the bags into the trucks themselves. Taipei promotes trade in secondhand goods and introduced new methods of kitchen-waste disposal -- one pilot program turns food waste into pig feed. The result: The volume of trash has been slashed by well over 60%.

The Taiwan 101 building still holds the No.1 spot for having the tallest building in the world but not for long as there's a big one coming up in the middle east.

The people of Taiwan are really warmth. Other than the crime rates, on and off killings and fights between senators in parliament, the island is a really good place to live in.

The food is really heavenly as it has a wide range of authentic Chinese and Japanese cuisines with local snacks. The blending of the Aborigines also adds a unique favour to the wide range of culinary delicacies.

There are several companies that looked next to the Cool Springs Galleria that could easily fit into the worlds most innovative companies list. They are startups totally bootstrapping all operations with not one person taking a dime in salary. Williamson County Tennessee, primarily Cool Springs, is a petri dish for venture capital and bright minds.

I wanna tell you something about Taipei. Taipei is a large East Asian city with a great blend of traditional and modern. Once a farming village, Taipei has become a busy metropolis, important industrial city and the centre of business and culture in Taiwan. East Taipei, the new city, is home to wide tree-lined boulevards and modern buildings. There are endless opportunities for shopping in Taipei. The world's tallest building, the magnificent skyscraper of Taipei 101 is the landmark of the city. The building serves as the International Financial Center and has breathtaking views over the city and the mountains surrounding it. There are also restaurants and a shopping mall in the building.
