The 007 series continues with the latest book, Devil May Cry, by Sebastian Faulks -- the 36th in the series. The franchise, which has grossed $11 billion from the films alone, hasn't ceased to bring in the big bucks, and probably won't halt with the release of the next film, Quantum of Solace.

The International Conference on BioMedical Engineering and Informatics (BMEI2008) will be held from May 27-30 in Sanya, Hainan , China. It brings together researchers working in many different areas of biomedical engineering and informatics to foster international collaboration and exchange of ideas. The BMEI 2008 conference proceedings will be published by the IEEE and indexed in both EI and ISTP. Selected papers will be recommended for publication in SCI/SCI-E indexed international journals.

Nearly 200 college teams will being revving their engines. But the winner will not be determined by speed but by the cleanest exhaust and best fuel efficiency. Philippe Maindru, head of last year's winner, St. Joseph's La Joliverie College of Nantes, said F1 teams could take a cue from these students: "Imagine what could be achieved if their thousands of engineers concentrated on going far rather than fast."
