Fast Company Readers' Choice
Late last year, we began featuring reports on Fast Company Readers' Choice and CoF book discussion groups online. In December, employees of Achieve Healthcare in Eden Prarie, Minnesota, met with Bill George, author of "Authentic Leadership," to discuss leadership, balance, and teamwork.
Many CoF groups already organize their own book discussion events, and as part of the Fast Company Book Club, we now offer several tools to help you better facilitate those activities. Fast Company has developed a guide to starting a reading group in your company or CoF group, and hundreds of readers and CoF members have signed up for the Fast Company Bookclub Meetup.
You can help us choose the monthly Readers' Choice selections, you can access excerpts from the various titles, and you can participate in discussions about the featured books -- all online. Take a page from Fast Company!
Upcoming CoF Events
To help you learn more about -- and get involved in -- the best and brightest CoF events organized by members and groups every month, Fast Company offers a global, public calendar.
This network-at-a-glance calendar is accessible by non-members, as well as by CoF members. Use the global calendar as you travel on business. Share it with friends who don't belong to the network.
CoF gatherings are a great way to meet other FC readers and forward-thinking business leaders and innovators in your area. We hope to see you at a CoF event soon!
Member Discount: Profit with Meaning Web Event
Fast Company has partnered with the IONS Wisdom Business Network to offer CoF members a discount on the organization's February online conference on "igniting purpose and meaning for a better bottom line."
You are invited to participate in this global Web event Feb. 23-24 -- and hear John A. Byrne, Fast Company's editor in chief, and other leading business visionaries discuss the rise of purpose and meaning as the new competitive imperative in business. Participants can easily attend online during the Web event's two days, as well as for three months afterward. No special software is required.
Network with hundreds of like-minded professionals from around the world who share your passion to build companies with purpose and meaning without sacrificing bottom-line results -- and meet with local conference attendees from your city through the Meetup service.
The CoF early-bird registration rate is $95. After Feb. 9, registration will cost $129.
