The End of the Road (Show)

Between September 23 and November 4, Heath Row, Fast Company's social capitalist, drove up and down the East Coast to connect with business leaders and companies that are Leading in the East. With the support of Volkswagen of America Inc., Heath visited people, teams, and companies to explore their approaches to leadership and innovation; stayed with FC readers in their homes; and gathered with local chapters of the Company of Friends, FC's readers' network.

Heath says that one particular highlight of the trip was celebrating the CoF's fifth anniversary on October 15. He spent the evening with a local cell near Morristown, New Jersey, where he led a discussion entitled, 'The Business of Values - the Values of Business.'

Heath documented that event and others online in the Roadshow Diaries. When he arrived back in Boston, he revisited the diary entries, identifying several consistent themes that came up during the course of his travels and interviews. What you'll see on the Web includes the bulk of the Roadshow entries and an 'End of the Road' report. You'll also learn about some of the connections that Heath made on his journey from Virginia to Vermont.

Whether you are interested in new models of public-private economic development partnerships, the role that design plays in innovation, or how organizations such as the Department of Defense are continuing to respond to the tragedies of September 11, the Roadshow reports address some of the best and brightest ideas and leaders in business today. Be sure to stop by!
