The Company of Friends is Fast Company magazine's global readers' network. Since its formation in October 1997, thousands of Fast Company readers, business leaders, and innovators have gotten involved in more than 100 urban areas around the world. Fast Company readers self-organize local discussion groups, mentoring and networking organizations, and creative problem-solving teams. Through the Company of Friends, readers take the tools we offer in the magazine and use them to improve their careers, companies, and communities.
What you get out of the Company of Friends is dependent on what you put in to it. As a member of the CoF -- and as an associate of a local or special interest group -- you can influence and get involved in what your group does in terms of events, activities, and actions. Or you can just check out the Web discussions, read the emails, and attend an occasional event. Maybe. You can be as involved -- or as uninvolved -- as you want to be. The choice is yours.
