I am more moved by brand when purchasing clothes and I have noticed that some of my favorite designers are having their clothes made in various places; so MADE IN AMERICA doesn't matter to me much.
well it is like this, it is good to support locals, but when locals can't compete with lower paid labour. so the question comes back to you Saabira, isn't it more important to make sure that where these clothes come from the workers are paid and treated fairly?
I always check for 'Country of Origin', forget the brand, most of the brands come from various countries. Quality is important. Other thing is, I consider local prior to Global economy.
Eh! Don't forget that the tag MADE IN THE USA is foreging to everyone except people in the USA. So to this Canadian that is a foreign label. Just wanted to broaden the perspective.

Aaron Vander GiessenI have to agree with Kevin, I have seen tags of all sorts in the stores in Hong Kong. Better to look at the companies' practices than the label.

Andre NattaI'll support local merchants whenever I can, but I'm more inclined to buy something that's well made than I am concerned about where it comes from.
