Living an Uncommon Life

On Friday, March 28, 2008 the Charlottesville Company of Friends, Hampton Roads Publishing, and the Virginia Festival of the Book invite you to live an uncommon life -- this time for real! John St. Augustine was scheduled for our Book Festival Program last year but was stranded in the Philly airport. This year he is determined to arrive and will fly in the day before.

John St. Augustine, author of Living an Uncommon Life: Essential Lessons from 21 Extraordinary People, is a nationally known radio host and the producer for Oprah & Friends radio. At the lowest point of his life, living in a motel room with his wife and two children, St. Augustine undertook a walking journey of a thousand miles to reinvent himself. On this walk, the inspiration for a radio show that would be a positive voice in an increasingly cynical world was born. Ten years and 5,000 guests later, St. Augustine is living his dream and he offers a roadmap for reaching your own--based on a pattern to success in the lives of the exceptional personalities he met.

Our own Michelle Prosser, whose new book Excuse Me Your God is Waiting, Love Your God, Create Your Life, Find Your True Self, will interview this consummate interviewer and facilitate a discussion on how to manifest the life of your dreams.

Our generous friends at ACAC, http://cville.acac.com , will host the event from 6:00-7:30 and will sponsor a reception after the program, when the author will be available to sign books.

Paid parking is available in the ACAC parking deck or at the Water Street Garage. Limited street parking is available on Monticello Avenue.

ARRIVE EARLY TO GET YOUR SEAT AS THIS IS A POPULAR EVENT WITH LIMITED SEATING.
