Is the current model of capitalism harming our planet?  If so what are the alternatives?  In his book titled "The Bridge at the Edge of the World: Capitalism, the Environment, and Crossing from Crisis to Sustainability" (Yale, 2008) James Gustave Speth spells out an alarming scenario, one that can only be avoided by drastic changes.  Thoughts?
