Other than rent out our condo for a good price and get out of town during the event? Ummm, nothing directly related to the events themselves. Never have been a sports fan, so the allure escapes me.
I also had planned on renting out my condo and escaping the city, though I have also been seeking out a business opportunity that would thrive with the olympic crowds. I have been unsuccessful so far, but am open to any ideas.
This is a great question as to often I've heard from businesses, municipalities and individuals wondering what VANOC and/or the Olympics is going to do for them. In my dealings with VANOC I know they have their position however I think they need to convey the message even more than they are that, "They are responsible for bringing the Olympics here, its up to you to take advantage of the opportunity."
I haven't really answered the question here but I'm looking forward to some more replies.
