Tom Gray Solutions Powersports Training/Consultancy Catches Fire on Line!

If a website could do a burnout, leaving a trail of smoke and flames behind it, TomGraySolutions.com has done it with a spectacular launch that has captured the interest of many of the thousands of clients its principal, Tom Gray, has guided to success during his nine-year tenure with Assurant Solutions. Assurant, an industry leader in enhancing profitability for business owners and managers in the motorsport, powersport and watersport industries, recognized Gray as National Sales Trainer of the Year in 2007.

Gray’s original ideas and groundbreaking concepts have brought a refreshing breath of change to an industry whose previous methods of improving sales and salespeople were stultifying, to put it mildly, said Cory Lee, one of Gray’s most dedicated fans.

“It was the same old stuff, year after year—and repetition sure didn’t make it any more palatable—or successful,” reflected Lee. “I don’t know if it’s Tom’s dynamic personality that creates a kind of contagious excitement in his students, or it’s the freshness of the approaches and techniques he shares with them—but it has certainly proved to be a winning combination for us!” Lee’s revenues increased by 24% within a 6 month period, immediately following their completion of Gray’s Buyers Advantage program.

Gray humorously refers to the program in question as his “shock and awe” program because it differs so dramatically and dynamically from the “dinosaur age” training philosophies and regimens that preceded it.

“Tom’s approach is really cutting edge,” says Don Jones, another enthusiastic client. “Because he wasn’t afraid to go out in the trenches and work with real world, real-time scenarios, he has been able to create techniques and solutions that really work--because he personally developed, tested, tried and perfected them,” Jones points out. “When our team watched him demonstrate by achieving a successful sale and close with the first random customer that walked in our door—well, they were sold, too!”

Gray’s expertise regarding the sales of powersport merchandise is based on firsthand product knowledge as well as years of professional training: His personal history as an avid enthusiast, collector, and restorer of vintage and classic motorcycles, and a longtime, rally-attending member of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America, have given him great familiarity with a variety of powersport vehicles and the people who purchase and enjoy them.

“Reaching people is easy. Motivating them to learn -- or to buy-- is a whole different ball game,” says Gray. “That’s where the fun begins!”

A popular and sought-after speaker at events such as the Update 2009 Power Sports Convention in Atlanta, Gray loves a challenge, and hopes to empower even more businesses and their personnel, now that he is operating as an independent consultant and trainer.

“I plan to set an active schedule for myself,” says Gray. “I’m the kind of guy who likes to stay busy, and to feel I’m accomplishing things—if not for myself, then for a client.”

One of his first steps as an independent businessman was to establish a state-of-the art website (www.tomgraysolutions.com) that presents, sampler-style, a full array of the new and original training and consulting programs Gray has developed to address the most common mistakes and misunderstandings, the most persistent challenges, and the most annoying blockades that stand in the way of profitability.
The new website will soon allow visitors to view free mini-presentations that summarize each of the modules in his arsenal. The modular sessions are designed to be used individually or in combination, to achieve a customized series that addresses each client’s unique requirements.

The programs deal with the full range of challenges—from basic steps to successful selling, through closing and follow-up, to leadership fundamentals; and all are presented in Gray’s innovative, award-winning style. They can be administered in a classroom setting or through personal on-site training and consulting, and their purpose is, as Gray puts it, “to take beginners from Zero to Hero—and to guide seasoned personnel to a place in the heroes’ Hall of Fame!”

Those who have benefited from Gray’s perceptive eye and results-oriented attitude are quick with their compliments, which frequently make reference to his razor-sharp focus on cutting to the chase and getting the job done.

“Tom’s a genuine motorsports fan who loves to ride,” says Klein, “and he’s a lot of fun to be around. But when it’s time for him to work his magic with a client’s profitability, don’t try to sidetrack him. He’s on a mission!”
