What do you use to use to manage comments on your blog?

Testing the deck - what does this do? Ignore it and read my post on what plug in to use to manage comments on your blog.

I have a couple of Wordpress blogs set up that I manage using one plug in.  You can check them out by going to Create Wealth and Scott Lovingood.  Both of them are set up using the installable version of Wordpress.

I really like Wordpress and the ease it gives you to get started blogging.  The best thing about it is the amazing number of plug-ins that are available to handle nearly anything you want.  You can use Wordpress to create a membership site, manage recipes, capture email addresses, etc.

You can interact with the people who read your blog by their comments and your exchanges with them.  The biggest problem is that spammers have captured the airways and can make life managing multiple blogs a pain.  Askimet is a great plug in to automatically screen out spam but real people also work to put spam on the web.  I use a plug in to help manage my comments and it also allows me to centralize my comments on other people's blogs who use the same plug in.

The plug in is Disqus.  You can find my Disqus Profile for Scott Lovingood.  It includes my comments on other blogs that use the Disqus plug in.  Disqus allows you to do all the normal stuff with comments as well.   I have found it to be a very useful tool and hope many others use it too.  The more blogs that use it the better it works for everyone.

Have a happy Halloween and keep the crazies outside :)
