Are you an "online" business?
Let's come to terms with a simple reality-even if you aren't doing business online, your business exists online and therefore you are in fact an online business. Just because you are not a "transactional" business doesn't make you any less susceptible to all things bad that can happen on the web. In fact your design, reputation, SEO and communication strategies may be more important to your business than someone who actually sells something online. If you have a product that someone really wants they can still hit the "check out now", button, forget all about what they just read and you are still in the driver's seat-mission accomplished, you sold something. If your site only provides information to get a consumer to the point of buying, then this will probably be even more important for you.
Your reputation is nothing more than the individual impressions of your existing customers and your future customers that have either written a review about your firm or not. So that sounds like everybody who has ever crossed your company's path in one form or another. That would be correct. Now, how your reputation gets fostered and "standardized" if you will, is by the written or spoken word about your company and its services or products. Now we have something concrete to talk about.
What happens when that written word is mostly negative? Someone searches your name or a variation of your name and up pops 2 or 3 reviews about what a crummy place you are...what a crummy boss you are at the crummy place...and you have some crummy products too by the way. Unless we are talking about a bakery you have some issues. Odds are these are all on page one of most of the search engines too, influencing the daylights out of your future customers. But wait you say, it's only a few comments. We have 999 happy customers for every 1 unhappy one. This can't matter all that much. Surely everyone will see past this. Wrong. The way reviews work in search description it's likely that's the only thing they will see. What else is there at this stage to combat this negative text while someone is in the "making up their mind" stage?
A Review Site would be nice about now.
What if on top or bottom or at least on the same page as that negative review was a review site that was dedicated to your product and your company? With a compelling url that prompted customers to click to visit this review site? And once the customers got to the review site there were all these (mostly) glowing reviews of you and your company and its products and services. That would be a great thing. Well that is what Presto Reviews is all about. We give you the tools to have your very own review site. Not to cook reviews or write phony ones, but to be installed as part of your sales process and something that you ask your customers to do at the time of the sale. This is where you can capture the 999 happy customers AND the 1 unhappy one. He's just as important because we all know he's the one who will tell all of his friends about you right. And here's a great chance to address his concerns or complaint before that happens. He may turn around and become an advocate for you if you take care of his issues in a timely manner. And as a business owner isn't that what you want and need to do? So with your own review site and a process in place for capturing these reviews you now have a tool to combat the negative things that are being said about you. You now have a dog in the fight.
What about using one of the hundreds of reviews sites that already exist?
Let me answer that with a question. Why would you direct your customers to a 3rd party review site that could care less about the reality of the review, or the resolution of the customer complaint? Or even worse, why expose your customers to the competitor's ads that are running in this very space that you just directed them to? 3rd party reviews sites exist for the sole purpose of generating content (the more controversial the better) so that they can sell ad space. This is not a secret. But what is amazing is that so many businesses fall into this trap and then get frustrated when they are asked by these very sites to pony up to have their reviews shuffled from good to bad, or tell you that an algorithm has determined that 99% of your positive reviews have been deemed not true and 100% of the negative ones have been deemed real. And then ask you if you want to advertise on the site-maybe we can re look at the "rithm" of the reviews...I would say those are good answers to why I wouldn't want my customers traipsing around the web being poisoned by someone who doesn't have a lifelong investment in them like I do. I would rather control the process and if I am doing things right, the outcome is a given-a happy customer telling the world about me. These 3rd party sites are what i call a "leaking" site.
Controlling the review process.
A Chicago Hyundai Dealership, World Hyundai Matteson, at the time of this writing has nearly 600 reviews and climbing. After each and every sale the customer is told about their review site, WorldHyundaiReviews.com, and is asked if they would like to share their experience online. World Hyundai has nearly 95% penetration in this regard. The customers are thrilled to be part of the process. They really enjoy sharing the great experience and it has truly turned into a bonding episode for the clients and the salesperson. Could this possibly have happened if the customers were handed a web address on a piece of paper and told to "log in" when they got home to do a review? Not a chance.
For nearly 70 years the Omaha Car Dealership of choice has been H&H Chevrolet. They built their reputation and fortune on providing customer service at a level unlike any other store in town. Owner Steve Hinchcliff has been very pleased with the results. Presto Reviews has given him a tool to take customer service and customer engagement to a whole new level. And the added shot in the arm any organization that focuses on truly satisfied customers would want. He recalls an instance where a customer read his response online and Steve had inadvertently typed in the wrong type of vehicle. When the customer called to mention the error to him he immediately went to the review site to make the correction there. Again the customer calls, but to say that she could not believe the owner of the dealership actually took the time out to handle this himself. She was beyond impressed and said she will tell her friends about the individual attention given at his dealership. How is a 3rd party site going to replicate that?
Parman Law Group, a law firm located in Irvine, CA performing mortgage loan modification work throughout California ,
has also benefited from their own review site. They have installed the
review request in the middle of the modification process to ensure that
what is a lengthy procedure goes smoothly from start to finish. In some
cases the client starts out happy but becomes frustrated while waiting
for results. ParmanLawGroupReviews.com, a Presto Reviews site, is a way for clients to give feedback, to which Parman holds themselves accountable, good or bad. By providing clients a third party "sounding board", Parman Law Group demonstrates their commitment to keeping the lines of communication open and helps Parman Law Group tp correct the issue before they have an unsatisfied client on their hands.
SEO
An additional benefit to using a review site from Presto is that our sites are designed so that each review is actually a page with a unique URL. Each review also comes with a moderation panel that allows for keyword entry, title tags and a full description. These reviews can be moderated so that they have maximum opportunity to be indexed by the search engines. Imagine having hundreds or thousands of these pages being indexed for searches that your customers perform each day. After reading your reviews, these potential customers have certainly moved your company to the top of a very short list of who they are considering doing business with. What does your competition have to compare to this?
