The French are always being ridiculed and belittled by other
countries. But as time passes, more people are beginning to do a little
research to see how life really is over there. France was always made out to be
filled with uppity, snooty citizens that thought they were better than the rest
of the world. In actuality, the part of them being better than other countries
may be a bit true, but that’s for another article. The way the French do things
in their country could be good for business. They are for the people and like
to do things that benefit the country as a whole.
The government isn’t the dominant figure, the people are. So
in order to keep protests and strikes down, businesses and the government do
what’s needed to keep the people happy. Even in healthcare, doctors are paid
more to help people quit smoking and keep patients from coming back to the
hospital frequently. So the healthier the people are, the more the doctors get
paid. If businesses would reward their workers through customer satisfaction
rather than actual sales, a lot more representatives would be nicer people. The
business world has made people into snarky, short-tempered individuals. Dealing
with businessmen and women in the U.S. is like dealing with a cage of rabid
dogs sometimes. Not many people want to associate with them, especially
customers who have to speak with rude customer service reps and technicians.
Customer satisfaction would also be a great demand on the
business owners -- creating a product or service that has great quality will
increase customer satisfaction. It would also decrease the demand for
technicians to fix faulty products and customer service reps who have to deal
with unsatisfied clients. Implementing the French way of life into business
would create happier customers, which would create happier workers and
ultimately leads to happier business owners. It’s true, a man’s home is his
castle, but why not make work into one as well? Imitation is a form of
flattery, but don’t look at it as copying. Look at it as implementing proven
tactics into your business. Vie de France!
