On Sunday, September 20th , ABC MotorCredit, a buy here pay here dealer in Ohio, sponsored the third annual Walk for Babies, which raised nearly $50,000 for the Akron Children’s Hospital during the annual  event.  This is the third year that ABC has sponsored Walk for Babies. Walk for Babies has raised almost $150,000 for Akron Children’s Hospital since inception.

Funds raised during the walk are used to help Akron Children’s Hospital purchase equipment and fund programs for the children in their Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) care.  When newborns are critically ill or premature, they need the intensive care provided by a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, such as the one at Akron Children's Hospital. Each year, Akron Children's specially equipped ambulance and pediatric transport team transfer about 600 newborns in northeast Ohio to the hospital's Level III NICU.
