WILL YOU BECOME ECONOMICALLY RELEVANT? by NNANNA KALU
Hi Noble Friends, for some time now, Our Business Freedom Coaching Firm, RaRe, embarked on some research that I feel would be helpful in helping you make valuable decisions. This piece is centered on helping you build A POWERFUL business that rewards you for the rest of your life. Never mind if you are new on this blog, you can still catch up with me next week to get the other details. But let's quickly move on with one of the report. Out of every 10 businesses, only 1 would be making significant profits after ten years. When the business freedom is corrupted, you can't have a functional system that produces profits. You become like the great number of tradesmen who work to survive the economic hardship whereas true business owners provides the environment where others can earn a living. Herein lays the challenge of most businesses. Any business that gets to this point is said to have tried. Successful businesses have commodities but don't sell them. It is not the commodity that a profitable business thrives on. Profitable business thrives on the fame of the business. Business thrives on the image perceived by the customers or clients. What the business means to customers. Feeling not commodity is what profitable businesses sell. A Brand is useless if the customers have no perception about it. Nothing persuades customers like a brand. Knowing that a company means something to a people is what increases your business freedom chances. That you own a business that sells and buy is not going to increase your freedom chances, it is the knowledge that your customers will always be loyal and dedicated to your business even when you are not there is what makes a successful business. I intend to deal on this next week. Customers are persuaded by feeling. Is the Coca-cola sold at Silverbird Cinemas different from the Coca-cola sold at Iya Musa's store. A bottle of water at Sheraton is not the price with a bottle of water at Mr. Bigg's? Is Mr. Bigg's not bigger than Iya Musa? What enhances success is feeling. The feeling has before and after use. Most people mistake their company's logo for their brand. They focus on designing powerful logos, they stamp it on their company’s cars and invest into making people love their logo. But do you fall in love with any logo. I guess you fall in love with the feeling of importance that the company provides. There are some restaurants where soft drinks are higher than the conventional price. The difference is not the finances involved in setting up the business or logo. Brand consciousness is what makes a profitable business. Businesses are struggling because they expect nothing more from customers. When a customer buys a meal for instance, they necessarily don't buy your meal because it is cooked with the richest ingredient, they buy the feeling around the meal. They pay high for the meal. The Beautician, Mary Kay Ash noted in one of her books, '' Everyone has an invisible signboard on the forehead and it is boldly stated, 'make me feel important.' '' People started going to her organization not necessarily because they want to buy cosmetics but to visit their office and seat at the reception. Mary Kay is known worldwide not for cosmetics but for the feeling her business create in people. The tragedy of failed businesses is that commodities are hyped and packaged in such a way that they don't touch the emotion of the buyer. It's like serving a sumptuous meal on a dirty plate.
