Dotz Successfully Launches New Brand of Cord Management Products

Dotz™ successfully launches new brand of cord management products.

After working in both the corporate and consultant settings, successfully designing and launching client’s products, designer Micah Maraia felt the time had come to pursue his own dreams. Inspired by an impenetrable entanglement of cords in his studio, he envisioned a simple, intuitive system to bring order to the chaos.

 

Micah quickly realized the potential of his idea and immediately started the patent process. As soon as he had adequate protection in place, he began exploring all opportunities for bringing Dotz to fruition. Over the span of about 3 years, Micah continued developing the Dotz product line on nights and weekends. Leaving no rock unturned, he met with product scouts, TV shopping reps, manufacturers, and major retailers. You name it and he explored it. Finally, after a serendipitous introduction and an instant connection, Micah partnered with leading retail, merchandising, and business experts Doug Tenpas, Susan Peterson, and Brooks Douglass. Together they completed the team necessary to quickly bring Dotz to the international marketplace.

 

Dotz received its first container load of products in March of  2009 and despite a poor economic and retail climate, achieved substantial sales and distribution quickly. Dotz is currently available in several catalogs, online stores, and retailers such as Office Depot, The Container Store, Storables, Fry’s Electronics, Micro Center, and QVC.  Dotz  has established distribution in Canada, the UK, Japan, the Philippines, South Korea, and South Africa and is currently working on channels throughout Europe, South America, and the Middle East. www.cordotz.com
